Wafer Backend

Perfectly Harmonized Inline-System from Wafer Cleaning to Inspection

The SCHMID Wafer Backend covers all processes after wafer sawing. Perfectly harmonized cleaning processes, separation and final inspection as well as all handling steps
reach excellent process results at lowest Cost of Ownership.
In the Wafer Backend, the process steps for a cut wafer block are pre-cleaning with the SCHMID special lance cleaning system, then degluing, separation and final cleaning.
A Pick + Place robot transfers the wafers to the SCHMID Metrology Sorter System for classification. Here the wafers are inspected for various criteria and sorted into transport

Wafer Line


Fully Integrated Cluster Wafer Fabrication from Crystal Growing to Final Inspection and Sorting

The SCHMID Turnkey Solution covers all processes for Wafer production. These are crystallization, bricking, wafer slicing, cleaning and final inspection.
After crystal growing the ingots pass the bricking process: squaring, cropping, grinding and finally gluing to the special SCHMID ceramic beam.
Our advanced wafer slicing technology enables you to reach best in class CoO results.
In the last step, the Wafer Backend ensures highest wafer cleaning quality to achieve high wafer prices.
